Josh’s journey into accounting began in high school, where he was drawn to business subjects and numbers. While he once considered a career in music, he ultimately pursued a commerce degree at Deakin University, majoring in economics and accounting. During his first year of university, he completed a 12-month traineeship at a local council, gaining hands-on experience in accounts while earning a solid foundation in financial management.

After completing his studies, Josh jumped straight into an accounting role at a city firm. While it provided valuable experience, he now encourages young professionals to take a well-earned break before diving headfirst into their careers! His diverse background in both corporate and small business environments gives him a well-rounded approach to financial strategy.

A Passion for Travel, Coffee, and Community

Josh isn’t just about numbers—he’s also an avid traveler, coffee enthusiast, and jazz lover. He and his wife spent three months exploring Europe. Along the way, he picked up bits of local languages, even becoming conversational in Russian! He also traveled Japan for six weeks with friends, immersing himself in the culture, cuisine, and onsens - a trip that remains one of his favourite experiences.

His love for coffee started early, working as a barista during university, and has since turned into a lifelong passion. Today, he continues to explore Melbourne’s café scene through coffee crawls with friends, always in search of the best brew.

As a Manager Accountant, Josh is responsible for overseeing compliance, tax, and business advisory services for a diverse range of clients.
