After a huge year and ongoing pressures both internal and external, we wanted to ensure our end-of-year staff Christmas function
was something truly memorable, an event that would cement the friendships and collaborative nature of our team in an entirely
different way to our day-to-day. It had to be fun, challenging and draw on all skill sets across our team.
After months of secret planning, the Smart Business Solutions team competed in our very own The Amazing Race 2022.
With four teams of four, our crew had to combine their strengths to tackle the most challenging clues and tasks.
We kicked off the day with a delicious team brunch at our newly renovated Smart Business Solutions office. With an informal round-table discussion and discussing the year gone and plans for 2023, it was a wonderful opportunity to learn from each other.
From there, the competitive spirit kicked in as we briefed the team on The Amazing Race plans for the day.
The tasks required tactical thinking, strategy, collaborative teamwork, some physical endurance, and most of all a sense of fun!
Congratulations to TEAM PINK who worked together to solves the cryptic clues, navigate and mapping, smart (and safe) driving and
finishing all tasks in the shortest time possible!
Here's some photos of how the day played out! Check out the full album on our Facebook

It might seem like a clever strategy - moving surplus business cash into your personal mortgage offset account to save on home loan interest, then shifting it back to the company around tax time. But there’s a catch: the ATO sees this, and they’re not fans.
Running a small business has always been personal. Every sale, every setback, every sleepless night - it all comes back to the same person: the owner.
A staggering 93% of small business owners reported higher costs this year, while 64% saw profits fall. Taxes, wages, and insurance top the list of pressures, with taxes ranked as the number one cost by half of respondents of a recent report.
