Every 20 hours, an Australian child is diagnosed with cerebral palsy. Cerebral palsy is the most common physical disability in childhood. It’s caused by damage to the developing brain either during pregnancy or shortly after birth – directly affecting a person’s movement and posture for life.
STEPtember is a fun and inclusive virtual event that challenges you to walk, swim, ride, wheel or spin your way to 10,000 steps per day during the month of September – all while helping to improve the lives of children and adults who live with cerebral palsy.
WHO IS PARTICIPATING?
With lockdown happening, the SMART team want to keep themselves moving and motivated by committing to doing 10,000 steps per day during
STEPTEMBER. The whole SMART
team is joining to help fundraise for Cerebral Palsy.
SUPPORT A TEAM!
The SMART Team can be a competitive bunch, so we've split ourselves up into 5 teams.
Each team has their own fundraising target. The winning team wins a team prize AND the individual that does the MOST steps overall will
receive one awesome prize - a weekend away in CBD (when we're allowed!!). To keep things fair and avoid playing favourites we're
keeping the team members anonymous.
So pick your favourite colour and pledge your support to one of our 5 teams!
HOW WE'RE FUNDRAISING
For every dollar donated to this fundraiser will be dollar matched through Count Charitable Foundation. That means, if you donate $50, STEPtember will receive $100!
